LOL

Emily has had 2 hospital stays this year. The most recent, was last month And, she is wheezing, again. My ped sent us to a pulmonologist on Wednesday. After having her blow in this machine for 3 different tests, her long function was normal! NORMAL MY ASS!! But, he did say he could hear her wheeze.

So, he put her on another med for her neb, said just use it if I think she's in distress. BULL!! Well, the med (which I can't think of the name) isn't to treat asthma! It's to prevent it.

So, I called the peds nurse - ask her to pass on what the pulmo said. Then, of course on Thursday, she is worse. Call ped back. Nurse said "Dr. C said when you called back today, because he knew Emily would be worse, to call the pulmo." Called pulmo, he puts on her more freaking predisone. GRR!!!!

Emily goes to school today. Wonderful school nurse calls me, to make sure what time to do Emily's treatments. That was this morning. She calls back after afternoon treatment to tell me she sounds better than yesterday.

Emily texted me on the bus to tell me she got a solo in the concert Tuesday! YIPPIE!! Then, I call her and ask if she feels better, she says "a little." I ask if she wants to go shopping for new shirts. She tried 4 on this morning, all relatively new, all too tight. Freaking prednisone. Cried all the way to school - trying to cover up with her coat. She wants to go shopping- will see if she is really breathing better when I get home.

Allergist appointment on Dec 23. Not expecting anything, nothing before. But, am hoping for something so we can at least put a trigger on this.

Braces on Dec 29th.

My Christmas wish - that God would take this wheezing away from Emily!! FOREVER! AMEN!

The end of another school year

The school Emily has been at this year is just a 6th grade school. It has been absolutely wonderful. The staff is outstanding. And to think how much I hated it when I was there but that was because I had switched schools 3 times in 2 years.

Today when I pulled into the car pool line I noticed it was unusually long and slowwww. The line loops all the way arund from one side of the school to the other. At the back there is always a joke of the day (usually lame) and the answer it at the drop off. Today, instead of the joke, there were signs all along. They said stuff like "Have a great summer!" "Thanks for a great year!" "Good luck at IMS/CRMS." "Now it's time to say good bye." And the last one was "We're ready to be in our jammies."

Then, I got to the drop off and realized why the line was moving so slow and so long - those crazy teachers were out there in their jammies, waving signs and hooting and hollering!!!

I'm so gonna miss this school - but I will be back in just 4 years with JR.

And in less than one hour I will have a 7th grader!

What's going on with Emily

I could write a book! First, she's going on her 1st weekend youth trip this weekend. I'm a little nervous - but she'll be well chaperoned.

Second, the bus incident that I posted earlier. The bus driver called me last night about it. Apparently 10 kids got that "note" because that "area" of the bus was so noisy. She couldn't pick out who was and who wasn't noisy so they all go it. She promised me Emily wasn't in any trouble. But, she says she's trying to enforce a no talking policy because it gets too loud for her to concentrate. I'll leave that one up to her boss.

Third, her school is having a "50s social" Friday after shool. Emily didn't want to go plus she has to be at church at 4:30 to leave for the trip (see above). Anyway, a boy asked her to go to it, yesterday. She said she told him she had to go on a church trip. Good enough! What was so funny is she told her Grandma and made her Grandma tell me. Emily told her "momma is gonna flip." LOL I didn't - I was just concerned that she was polite to the boy.

Her daddy (which I had to tell him, LOL) said "Oh hell no." Emily told him not to worry as she isn't dating until she's 18. Gee - that's good to know! Cause I could date at 16, but 18 is ok too!

And last, I just pulled her report card off of her school website. She has 97, 97, 98, 98, 100 and 100! (consistant? LOL)
The funny part is she has all these great comments, except in 1 class - it says "talks without permission." What I don't get is if that was so important that HE put it on her report card, why hasn't she gotten a lunch detention for it? It think it's a man thing - her female teachers are probably chitchatty, too.

Oh well, I have to deal with that one, but she is such her mother's daughter. LOL I always had that on mine but from most all of my teachers.

LOL I still stink at this!

Ok - I'm just don't have much to say. (Yeah right)

I will say I Love Emily's middle school. To all of those parents who told me it was a lot of work, it's too hard, etc. - you must just be lazy! And to think most of you don't work. Gee whiz. Get over it! Try walking in my shoes one day!

Yes, it's a lot of work, yes it can be hard but Emily has all As! So ha ha to you!

Emily loves loves loves school. She's even getting up at 5:30 to get a shower! She comes in does her homework right away - even on Fridays.

JR is doing well in 1st grade. I love his teacher, she has many years of experience which if good for JR. He's playing soccer this season. He loves sports.

Ok - maybe I'll try to keep this thing up better. But, I doubt it. LOL

I suck at this!

Ok - I am just no good at blogging. I guess I don't have anything to say - yeah right!

Both kids are in ball. Emily in softball and JR in his last year of tball. He is the big boy on the team. Much much improved over last year where he played in the dirt all year long! He's a hitter! He's a fielder! He can throw - really far - and he can catch! Yeah JR.

Emily, on the other hand, is not a ball player. Bless her heart! She is bored. She'd rather be anywhere else. But, she chose to play so, she'll finish the season -just a few more weeks.

I'm so ready for school to be out. Not that I'll be home with them, but I'm so tired of all of the work. I'm laughing at that one! Next year for Emily will be a bitch from what I'm hearing. Can we skip 6th grade???

JR has a new teacher. His old one went out to have a baby. She now has 25 month old twins and a newborn. I didn't care much for her but I thought it was just me. Nope, not just me. I've talked to others who didn't like her either. She never smiled. Ever! JR hasn't gotten in trouble in almost 2 months since she's gone. Ok, now I know JR gets in trouble, but I haven't heard about it. His new teacher knows how to handle things better, I guess. She came out of retirement to finish out this year.

Not much else to say. Went to Alabama over spring break. Then to Six Flags on the way home. We got season passes, so we'll be going back several times this summer. Oh Joy! LOL Thank God for shows and benches. I love to watch the people! I don't love the rides so much. I could ride them all when I was younger - before I had Emily.

JR rode his 1st upside coaster at Six Flags. I was worried sick, but he met the height requirement, so off he and dh went. 2 kids on a coaster. LOL

I'll try to do better at this blogging thing, I promise.

Emily telling JR about the tooth fairy

Emily lost another tooth the other night. She knows how it really works, but when JR asked how the tooth fairy knows when someone loses a tooth this is what she told him: Every tooth has a tracking device. When a tooth falls out the tracking device calls the tooth fairy on her fairy phone to let her know which kid had which tooth come out.

Later I asked her why she didn't just say "She just knows" like I do. She told me that was too boring

A conversation with JR

JR and Emily have both decided they are going to be on American Idol when they are old enough. Last night, JR was in my bed watching it with me. The kids who were being cut were so upset and I was feeling like the over-protective mother that I am so this was our conversation:

Me: I don't think I'm going to let you go on American Idol. Those judges can be mean and I don't want you to get your feelings hurt.

JR: It's ok. They'll like me. I'm going to sing "Jesus Loves Me."

Me: (trying so hard not to snicker) You are going to sing "Jesus Loves Me?"

JR: Yeah. Oh wait. Mom, is Simon into Jesus?

Me: What?

JR: Is Simon into Jesus?

Me: I don't know.

JR: He's probably not into Jesus, since he isn't into county (music).

Me: You're probably right JR.

I think Johnny Cash and Jesus are smiling down on my boy!

JR, JR ,JR

JR has gotten in trouble at school on many occasions now for throwing blocks. Emily just called me (my parents got her and JR from school). We were sweating her honors language arts grade but she pulled out a 95 in there. She got a 93 in honors math (not sure how it went down to that, but who cares - it's an A), a 96 in Social Studies and a 100 in Science. That was actually a 103 but a 100 is the highest it will give you on the report card.

I'm so proud of her! Her dad promised her $100 if she went all year with all As. After 8 months, I had lost 35 pounds and kept it off until this past November. Since then, I've gained 1/2 of that back. I can't get my mind back to were it was with eating right! I know it's all mental. So, I'm giving myself a big kick in the butt to get back on track starting TODAY!

I've started eating emotionally again. I'm so mad at myself for that. I polished off a whole bag of Doritos over the weekend. I've been eating chocolate like mad! I need to stop this and stop it now!

So, today is a new day. Day 1 of losing this weight. Day 1 of NOT eating emotionally. Day 1 of eating right!

Wish me luck!

Catching up...

The holidays have come and gone, the decoration are put away and it all seems like a blur! I do this every year. I don't take the time to enjoy the moment. I need to make that my new year's resolution!!!

Chasity is still with us. No mention of her going back with her mom. No mention of how long she plans to stay with us. No mention of much of anything. Tim and I need to sit down with her and figure this out. She had no health insurance as of Jan 1. That scares me. But, what can I do?? So, if she plans to stay, I think she needs to get a job until August, then she can start tech. We'll see.

JR broke out with hives on Monday. He was better Tuesday and then they came back with a vengence yesterday. So, no school for him.

Emily started back to school yesterday. She came home all pissed off that they actually expected them to do work on their 1st day back and she had homework! LOL, my dear, welcome to the end of elementary school!! In 6th grade, she be preparing for midterms!

I am at work and feel like a zombie! The sleeping arrangements in my house are not working! Another reason we need to have a chat with Chasity. If she's staying, fine, but we need to close of the living room and give her her own room. And give Emily her room back! I've had her and JR in my bed the last 2 nights! Dh slept in JR's bed. He does that because he has to get up so early (like before 4) and we watch different things on tv at night. He also gets a hell of a lot more sleep than I do!!

Ok, that sounded more like a bitch session, sorry...

Back to work....

Sick Kids

When it rains it pours... Emily started with a cold over the weekend that went into asthma. I thought the dr was going to put her in the hospital yesterday - but I guess my "expert" experience kept her out. She was a bit better this morning when he checked her again. We go back to the dr on Friday morning.

JR caught Emily's cold and it turned into croup over night. So, both of them are on steriods and Emily is on breathing treatments.

I am exhausted!! I have to work today and tomorrow and then I'm off until January 2. I so need a break!

We were suppose to go to Pigeon Forge tomorrow night through Saturday to see Tim's family - but that is out. Hopefully, we'll still make it to Greenville next week since Tim has to work there.

Chasity came to visit last weekend and decided to stay a while. This was after we did our "Christmas" with her, so I went and got her a few small gifts to open Christmas morning. Not sure how long she'll be here.

Could we do NOTHING on Christmas???

I know that sounds horrible! But, my favorite day is not Christmas or Christmas Eve. It's the day after Christmas, when it's all over. Isn't that awful!!! And, it's not because of my kids, it because we are expected to cram so much into those 2 days. And now, we've added something else, that was to be a 1 time thing last year.

I do not enjoy Christmas because of this. I need to remember the "reason for the season" and stop this nonsense! I know that, but good grief - such stress.

Oh well, the day after Christmas, Tim has to go out-of-town to work for the rest of the week. The kids and I are going with him. The hotel has an indoor pool and jacuzzi. I plan to be plenty wrinkled when I get back home!!

Bring on December 26th!! Fast!!! Bah humbug!

A funny for today

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_hzxSStbb20Y/RX2oQNTMILI/AAAAAAAAAA8/Jnx6k1LkXoI/s320/babyelephant.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5007343357107380402" />

The kids with Santa

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_hzxSStbb20Y/RXgcZdTMIKI/AAAAAAAAAAw/_FQ121mKnKY/s320/FirstDayofSchool06+005.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005782209509728418" />
This wasn't a planned trip to see Santa, thus the not-so-dressy clothes. It was kind of hard to hear her with all of the crying babies and babbling grandmas, but I could tell she wasn't nervous. In fact, all of the kids did great! We have some real talent in our children's drama group.

J.R. was a ham during his group's singing. He is the only boy with 5 girls. They had motions to do with each song. He was the only one that did the motions, so it was really funny! Tim taped it and I'm really thinking of sending it to "Funny Videos!"

One more tonight with Emily's musical at school and then we can all breathe!

Pictures from last night

This is Emily as "Old Granny Mouse" and J.R. all dressed up. .

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_hzxSStbb20Y/RXgaoNTMIHI/AAAAAAAAAAM/p23kV82DbrM/s320/FirstDayofSchool06+015.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005780263889543282" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_hzxSStbb20Y/RXgaotTMIII/AAAAAAAAAAU/nDmv9O9D9Zo/s320/FirstDayofSchool06+012.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005780272479477890" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_hzxSStbb20Y/RXgao9TMIJI/AAAAAAAAAAc/tN8YGtKTbGQ/s320/FirstDayofSchool06+007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005780276774445202" />

Just stuff

The kids are in a play at church tonight called The Mouse's Tale." It's the story of Jesus's birth through the animal's eyes. Emily plays "old granny mouse." She has 1 of the 4 lead parts. She has become a nervous wreck over the last 2 days. I prayed and prayed last night that God would easy her nerves. I'm afraid she's going to make herself sick.

J.R.'s choir sings before the play starts. He's not nervous. LOL Poor kid, he's the only boy in the 5 yr old choir. I don't think he's noticed, or it doesn't bother him being surrounded by all those little girls.

Tomorrow night, Emily is in a musical at school called Surfin' Santa. She doesn't have any lines, just singing and dancing. Then she has to do it again twice on Friday for the rest of the school.

Today is our Christmas party at work. Actually, it should be called "eat all day party." I have a plate of breakfast foods in front of me as I type. Then we have lunch and dessert later. We're also doing a white elephant swap (or "greedy santa" as my redneck inlaws call it, LOL.)

I've finished shopping for the kids!! Just have mom, dad, Tim and Chasity to finish up. Chasity is suppose to be here next weekend, so I need to get that finished.

I'm not very good at this...

...I guess I'd rather read other blogs than write my own.

School is going great. She's hovering around the A/B mark right now but it's just interim so still time to pull it up. She is in drama at church and is one of the leads in next week's play. She is also in chorus at school and gymnastics.

J.R. is in children's choir and just finished soccer. I can't believe that J.R. is starting kindergarden. It seems like Emily just started. I clearly remember her plopping down in that little chair and her table on the first day of kindergarden - like she'd done it every day of her life. I barely got a wave out of her because she was so ready to explore her new class, friends, etc.

Will J.R. be the same way? I don't think so. I may have to peel him off of me - or the teacher may have to pry me from him. He is my baby, after all.

I hate loosening the apron strings on him. My heart aches because he is no longer a baby and I'm having a hard time accepting that.

Another school year ends

Today was Emily's last day of school. She has such mixed emotions about it ending this year. Her teachers have been nothing but fantanstic!! I want to recommend them both for sainthood! I wish they'd both move up to 5th grade. She's had a great year, all A honor roll the 1st 3 grading periods and A/B this last one (we kinda got tired at the end). She was 1 of 9 kids (out of 150) who got the Governor's Reading Award this year.

I gave her a necklace and matching earring set yesterday morning and told her how proud I am of her and all that she accomplised this year. She just stood there and cried. (She's got my emotions.) This year has flown by. And next year starts a new chapter for all of us with J.R. going to school with Emily. He can't wait - she's dreading it.

As she left this morning, I gave her a big hug and told her how proud we all are of her and that she's had a great year. I also told to her to enjoy the moment that she walks in the door to school today - it will be her last, alone, without her brother. She thanked me for reminding her.

My dearest first born - I hope you know how much I love you and how proud I am of you. I know I spend more 1 on 1 time with your brother but that doesn't mean I love you any less. I can trust you to take care of many things on your own - you've always been so independent, that is something mommy never really has been. I love you my sweet girl!

I am not a very good blogger!

I forget about this thing - probably because I post enough on mom's board.

Emily has made straight As all year! Only one 9 weeks left - doesn't look like she's going to make it. She had a 70 on a science grade. I'm thinking she'll still be on A/B honor roll. She's going to be disappointed but it's really ok. We're both burned out and ready for a break!!

J.R. starts k in the fall. I've already signed him up. The school does a kingergarden tea next month. Should be interesting. I don't expect him to bounce right in and wave "by" like Emily did. He's my clinging one. But that's ok, it won't last forever.

He is in tball this year. Emily decided not to play ball but she is still in tumbling. That trampoline sure has come in handy.

We're going to WV this weekend for my Aunt & Uncle's 60th wedding anniversary party. It's on our 12 anniversary. Oh, and Emily will be 10 the Sunday after that (Easter).

The last week of May were going to Orlando. We're not doing Disney - we're going to Universal for 5 days. There is a great online rate for $100/adult and kids are free!! So $200 for all of us a both parks for 5 days. We're staying at mom & dad's timeshare.

Tim's been home since Christmas. I think he goes out of town later this month.

UGHHHHHH!!!!!

Well, Emily may be doing just fine in school, but home is another thing! She just wants to argue and sas and I'm at the end of my rope with her! We found out Tuesday that she has a SS project due on Monday, Sept 26. I told her we would do this weekend - to bring the info sheet home on Friday. Next weekend is the Okra Strut so I want it out of the way so we can go.

So, I just talked to her. She just got home from school. Did she bring her SS sheet home! Hell no! UGH!! I know what the project is - so I've told her to start a list! (Top 10 things that have happened in her life.)

Then I remembered Chasity is coming tomorrow. So, I called her back and told her to go clean her bathroom, bedroom and change the sheets on her bed. Whine, whine!

Last night was even worse! Sassy mouth!

At least she brought home all As on her interims!!! But gosh she is getting so sassy!

Long time, no post!

We'll I haven't done a very good job at keeping this thing up. Maybe I'll try again.

The kids are doing great. Emily has terrific with a capital T teachers this year. I love them! And Emily loves them! She really seems to enjoy school again! Thank God for that! Last year was awful for her - for all of us but thankfully we've put it behind us and moved on.

Emily is in AGP math this year. Suppose to be more challenging. Her grades have been great, so far. A averages in all classes so far.

She's walking to school and she loves that! And she's walked home some days. She is going to Safari on an as-needed-basis. Trying to save some money. She is also taking gymnastics on Monday nights. Well, really, it's tumbling but she loves it.

J.R. is still a little ham. He has finally started showing some interest in learning his numbers and letters. I'm not pushing him - if he doesn't get it now, he'll get it next year in kindergarden. He still like to punch things - trying to put a stop to that, but it hasn't been easy.

My dad wants to put him in karate but I'm so not ready for that. He is so little for his age. He will start t-ball in the spring. I think he'll be good at baseball. Looks like Emily is giving up softball.

Tim is in Augusta this week. Do to the cost of gas ($3 + per gall0n) and the early start time he is staying there all week. We'll see him on Friday - my day off!!

The kids start choir practice tonight. This is Emily's 6th year in it and J.R.'s 2nd. They both seem to enjoy it. Emily should get some bigger parts in the plays since she is older now.

We went to the beach for 6 days this summer. First time we've done that. Usually, it just been a weekend trip. We went the last week of July. It was the hottest week of the summer. 100 degree plus days and heat index was 110+. We stayed at the hotel a lot and used the pools. The kids had a ball. Chasity went with us, too. We did go to see "One" at the Alabama Theatre and it was great. J.R. didn't care to much for it and was ill by the end. He finally went to sleep on me during the FINALE! We also went to see "Herbie" at the movies. The theatre was nice and cool!

I guess I've caught up with the important stuff. So I sumed the last few months up into just a few paragraphs. Not sure if that is good or not - but that's us.

Emily

Emily has been questioning me for almost a year over the easter bunny, santa and the toothfairy. I had kept giving her the same response - "What do you think?" If you stop believeing "they" stop coming.

Well, Saturday night she went to an Easter egg hunt through our church but held at someone's house. They had to bring flashlights. They got to get 5 eggs before it got dark. Each egg had a numbered paper in it that coorelated to a prize. Then they got to go back out and get up to 5 more - in the dark, in the woods. They gave them 10 minutes - she only got 1 egg. She got so upset. Most of the kids didn't get but 1 or 2. But she was still upset.Anyway, when they started to wrap up, the leader said "Let's have a word of prayer." And Emily shouted out, "No!" The lady just looked at her - Emily started to cry and we went on with our prayer. I was so embarrassed! I know it wasn't about the prayer - just that she wanted to get more eggs. But I still wanted to hide under a rock.

So, on the way home I was lecturing her and mentioned the Easter Bunny would be disappointed and might not bring her much. She said there isn't an easter bunny and guess what came out of my mouth:

"You're exactly right! There is no Easter Bunny, No Santa, No tooth fairy, nothing!"She said, she knew it was me and dh. Then I told her she should think of how much money we had spent on her over the years.I was so upset - at her - at me - at the easter egg hunt! I know she has suspected it for a while now - but now she knows and it is all my fault! I feel like I lost my "little girl" Saturday night and there isn't anything I can do to take it back.

The above was copied over from the moms over 30 board...

Here is what happened last night along that subject.....

Emily had to go to the dentist for what I thought was a cracked tooth, yesterday. It wasn't cracked. It was a baby tooth. The permanent tooth was coming in around it - what I was seeing was the top/side of the permanent tooth. The dentist pulled the baby tooth for her.

On the way home from her ballgame she asked me if the tooth fairy would find her tooth if she put it somewhere else. I told her she should put it under her pillow - not to make the tooth fairy look for it, which she did.

I can't figure out if she doesn't believe what I told her - or if she is just playing along or what. She was excited about her $5 this morning. She wanted to take it to school which I put a halt to.

Another Monday

I really hate Monday! Emily has a game at 6:15 tonight. Now those are very hard to come by in state gov. so I must be really special. It is a 5% raise - a merit increase, which will be followed on July 1 with a 4% COLA for everyone. Or at least it looks like the legislature is going to pass the 4%.

I was very excited about that until I remembered our house payment is going up $120 next month, so of my raise, I might see $1 of it! Oh well - at least it covers all of the increase on the house payment. Dumb asses underestimated our taxes when we bought the new house. Instead of $1500 it was $2300. UGH!!

Dh called and said his dd may be here for the weekend. Fine with me - but advanced warning would be nice. My house is a wreck!

Emily has softball in the morning and has to sing at church on Sunday. Both kids have Easter egg hunts at church at different times. I may skip J.R.'s because his class is going on one on Monday and there is just not enough time for everything on the weekend. He won't know anyways. Poor 2nd child syndrome again. LOL He'll really be just fine.

Took Emily back to the dr. this a.m. to recheck her asthma. Had to take J.R. too as I was running late. I was nuts by the time I got there with them bickering in the car. When the dr. came in he said "How are WE today?" I said they were fine but I was nuts. I told him I was going to work to regain my sanity. He laughed at me - he has 6 kids . Probably thinks I'm at whimp! But this whimp is helping him to pay for that nice Lexus SUV I see him driving - I've always wanted one of those, too!

When I checked out at the dr. office, this man was showing off his new baby - #9! 7 boys and 2 girls. I almost felt guilty for being nuts but then I thought that God gave his wife more sanity then me b/c he knew she would have so many kids. God laughs at my expense - I'm sure of it!

I hate Mondays!

Back at work after my 3 day weekend. I got a lot of things ready for the tot trade. I have over 100 items - clothes, books, videos and some framed prints. I hope I make some decent money off of this or I won't do the one in the fall.

Emily had ball on Saturday and J.R. had to go to a bday party at the skating rink. He didn't really care for skating. He is so not his sister! LOL She took to skating, riding a bike, tying her shoes all on the 1st try. He is just not there. But that's ok - that is just him.

Tim left for Greenville around 3:30. Then it's started raining and kept me awake. I think I fell asleep right before the alarm went off. I really wanted to stay in bed!

Emily has ball again tonight. Mom and Dad will be getting her there. I may just get J.R. and go straight home since I'll only get to see about 20 minutes of it.

Softball

Emily had her 1st softball practice last night. It was so cold! Those girls looked like the "Bad News Bears!" But they'll learn.

Emily only got 1 hit (3 if you count fouls). She pitched a couple balls. She could make a good pitcher - that is what I played. I'll have to work with her. But she is one of the youngest, so I told her that probably one of the older girls would pitch this year. But who knows.

Practice again tonight at 6. I have to take J.R. with me. So it will NOT be fun! Practice Sat. at 10:15, Mon and Tues. at 6. Opening ceremonies next Sat. J.R. has a bday party to go to at 10 this Sat. So Tim will be doing softball.

I asked for this! And next year J.R. will be in tball! Fun for me! LOL

At least I am off tomorrow. There is a tottrade here next week so I going to try and get some stuff together to take over there - maybe.

Just another Wednesday

I'm at work - which will be the most relaxing part of my day. Emily and J.R. have choir practice tonight. Since Mom and Dad are out of town, Tim will meet me at the church with them. Then right after that Emily has softball practice. I'm hoping Tim will take her to that and I can go home with J.R. But I probably should go, because it's the 1st one and he won't pay attention to things I need to know about. Maybe I'll just send him home with J.R.

Tim got nowhere with Chasity - or, in my opinion he didn't. He is such a wimp when it comes to her. He says what he thinks she wants to hear and that is just bull shit! I really think she needs to go to a tech school and get a 2 year degree. Then she can pursue other things from there. He says she wants to go into the ministry. Well, that's is all well and good but you gotta go to college to do that, too. I give up.

I told him that when child support stops - that is it. If she isn't doing anything to help herself than she can go to her mother for money! She is going to wind up like Tim's sister living in a trailer with 6 kids (1 hers, 2his, 3 theirs) and having her (and Tim's) mom help foot the bills. Living on welfare - and being proud of it. In fact, when her dh got slapped w/ child support and they both decided to quit their jobs she said it was time the government took care of them. Well, hell, all of her babies were on WIC and medicaid so I'm not sure what she thinks the gov. has been doing all these years! And then the crazy woman goes and votes Republican! I just don't get it!

I need to calm down. Dh's family makes me so angry! Thank God they are 8 hours away - which is not far enough sometimes! I really should have listened to my parents! LOL

I preached to Emily and J.R. about college last night and told them they were both going and that was that! Emily gets it - J.R. is 3, he thinks I'm nuts! (Maybe I am!)

Tuesday Morning

We had some big storms come through last night. I can't believe the kids and the dog slept threw them. I, on the other hand, was watching the weather cannel at 2 a.m. Rain has stopped but it is very windy. I hate this weather. It was 74 yesterday and only suppose to be in the low 50s today. Bring on summer!!

Emily's softball coach called last night. First regular practice is Wednesday at 7. Which means we have to haul butt from church (kids in the choir) which ends at 6:30. Tim will be home, so he will be handling picking her up from school, getting homework, feeding and then meeting me at the church with them. I'm tired from just typing all of that! Just wait 'till next year when J.R. starts t-ball!

I mentioned I had a chicken potpie in the crock, yesterday. Actually, it was Betty Crocker's Chicken and Dumplings. I didn't care for it. It was too salty! Emily, though, loved it and ate it all gone. I'm really having issues with her weight. I was never overweight until I got married. I married a man who likes to eat. And his mamma cooked 3 meals a day. Emily is taking after Tim's side and it is worrying me. She is tall ( about 4' 10") but she weighs 90 pounds. She'll be 9 next month. I've tried to cut back on sweets - but like her dad, she likes to eat! Not sure how to handle this. She is getting a belly on her. I need to get her more active - not so much to cut back her food. Softball will help some, but it is stop and go. Maybe it's a phase and she slim down as she gets taller. My stepdaughter did that. She was a little over weight until 14 or 15.

I worry too much, I guess.

Oh well. I should go do some work - since that it what I get paid for!

A J.R. funny

We listen to country music in our house. I am an auditor for the state of South Carolina. I really should be thankful that it is slow right now. Things will really pick back up in the next week or so and then I won't catch a break for a while. But I hate being bored - makes the day go by too slow!!

Dh is out-of-town, again! His dd (Chasity) is with him. She came to visit for a few days. Her mom is an over-the-road truck driver. Started that about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I told dh to take Chasity to Bob Jones Univ while he was up there. She and her mom became very religious about 7 yrs ago and she started homeschooling 4 yrs ago. She doesn't seem to have any interest in much else - except the Bible. I am fine with that , but she needs to live in the real world because she'll be having real bills to pay before too long. She should be a senior but she and her mom where in a wreck about 2 yrs ago and she got behind. She considers herself a junior.

Ok, trying not to go to far off on that tangent.

I have a chicken potpie in the crock pot.
